I am a Documentary Photographer. I have always had an interest in Photography since I was young. I love that photography can express emotion or tell stories through imagery, rather than text. As photographers, we can express can share the emotions we feel and hope that our work falls onto an audience that feels the same way, or even the same interest.
When I was young, I used to borrow my dad's Nikon DSLR and go into the garden and photograph Botanics because I loved capturing the complex structures of nature, as well as the beautiful colours they have.
I knew I wanted to take this interest further, so I started studying Photography at GCSE level at Talbot Heath School and then progressed at A-Levels whilst at Brockenhurst College. I am now a second-year student doing a BA Commercial Photography course at AUB.
My most recent project is about Adoption and it's a personal project to me because I am an international adoptee. For the project, I contacted adoptees (both International and Domestic) through friends/family and support groups to see if they would be willing to be part of my project. It has been the most interesting project I have created and I really enjoyed talking to the adoptions and listening to their adoption stories!
